ScoreSide Joins Sportradar Accelerator Program
Minneapolis-based ScoreSide announced Wednesday its inclusion and participation in Sportradar’s renowned Acceleradar program.
Sportradar, known worldwide for their depth and quality of data and sports technology, are also committed to helping drive the success and growth of start-ups in the sports technology industry.
ScoreSide is a new, innovative mobile platform that helps grow and unite online communities of sports fans with a shared passion for giving. The company recently saw its app featured during KARE 11’s 10 p.m. newscast, introducing to thousands of viewers the concept of charitable giving via a real-time sports app.
“We're thrilled to partner directly with Sportradar, one of the biggest names in the field,” said Clark Torgerson, a ScoreSide Founder and SpaceX alum. “We’re excited and anxious to leverage the industry-leading data that Sportradar offers as we expand our offering across additional sports and markets.”
ScoreSide has active campaigns across more than 5 charities in Minneapolis and Chicago, and plans to rapidly expand the app’s non-profit reach in the coming months.
“This partnership with Sportradar also fast tracks our ability to be more creative with data-driven app features,” added CEO Ben Bakken. “Game odds data, for example, gives us a nice, fun opportunity to drive more giving and engagement when your favorite team pulls off an upset.”
Acceleradar was launched by Sportradar back in December 2016 to support innovators around the globe who are in need of assistance to get their ideas and initiatives off the ground.
“The foundation of ScoreSide's platform is built upon processing real-time game data to drive real-world change,” said Torgerson. “We're leveraging what users love about watching sports to drive donations to charities of all kinds and sizes.”
Initially launched in the U.S., the Acceleradar program was expanded to the rest of the world in 2017, with myriad innovators continuing to pop up across the globe.
